Most appointments usually take between 1.5-2hrs with larger dogs or more complex haircuts taking longer. At drop-off, I’ll give you an estimated finish time. I’ll also call or text at least 20 minutes before your dog is ready (or more, if you prefer).
As of July 2025, PACFA now requires all grooming clients to have the following vaccinations on file:
If your pet is unable to receive vaccines due to medical reasons, a letter from your veterinarian stating this is sufficient.
Groomed By Kelly is by appointment only, so timely drop-offs help me stay on schedule and give each dog the attention they deserve.
Please arrive within 30 minutes of the “ready” time. After that, a $1 per minute late fee will be added.
Absolutely! Life happens—please reach out as soon as possible, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
A no-call, no-show means I’ve set aside time just for your pet that could’ve gone to another client.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so I can offer the spot to another client.
Same-day cancellations will incur a 50% service fee, due before or at your next visit if given 3 hours notice. Less than 3 hours notice will result in a 100% service fee, due before or at your next visit.
I completely understand that life happens. Please communicate with me as soon as possible—I’ll always do my best to work with you. That said, frequent no-shows or late cancellations may result in losing booking privileges or requiring pre-payment for future appointments.
If any parasites are found during the grooming process, the appointment will be immediately stopped, and you’ll be asked to pick up your pet right away.
In these cases, you’ll only be charged 50% of the scheduled service.
No, for the health and safety of your pet, I do not groom:
Yes, absolutely. Please inform me before the appointment of any known health conditions or stress-related behaviors.
This doesn’t mean I’ll refuse service—it just helps me better care for your pet.
If a condition arises during grooming that compromises your pet’s well-being, I may pause or stop the service in their best interest. In such cases, a minimum charge of 50% will apply based on services completed.
I handle behavioral issues on a case-by-case basis and do my best to work with each dog.
However, if a dog shows signs of extreme aggression, I will need to stop the groom for safety reasons and recommend future appointments be completed with your veterinarian.
A charge may apply for any work already done during the appointment.
If you’re planning to hang around after drop-off, you can find paid parking in:
🚫 Be sure to avoid residential-only spots, as they are strictly enforced.
Yes! The first 30 minutes of street parking is free—perfect for a quick pickup or drop-off. Just be sure to check the meter or signage to confirm you’re in a valid spot.
If no street parking is available, you’re welcome to:
Please don’t leave your vehicle unattended in the turning lane for long periods.
At Groomed By Kelly, pricing is based on an hourly rate, which takes into account:
My prices reflect the one-on-one care and hand drying I provide. I focus on quality and trust, not rushing multiple dogs at once. All quotes given are starting prices. If your pet requires more time than expected, the final cost may be higher than the original estimate.
I accept the following forms of payment:
Please note: card payments may include a small processing surcharge.
You’ll always be informed of this before pickup.
No, I do not accept checks at this time.
Thank you for your understanding!
Matting refers to tight tangles and knots in a dog’s coat, often caused by infrequent grooming or buildup of dirt, moisture, or undercoat.
Matting can lead to:
I do not perform de-matting on severely tangled coats when it may cause:
Instead, I prioritize your pet’s comfort and will humanely shave the matted areas close to the skin if needed. This ensures a stress-free, safe grooming experience.
While I take every possible precaution, there is a risk of:
By bringing your dog in for grooming, you acknowledge these risks and allow Groomed By Kelly to proceed in the most humane and careful way possible.
By leaving your pet in my care, you agree to:
Yes. At drop-off, I will provide a pre-assessment estimate.
If your dog’s coat or behavior requires more time or effort, the final price may be higher than the original estimate.
Nope! I provide a kennel-free grooming experience to keep your pet as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Your dog will never be kenneled during their appointment unless previously discussed (like for drying or specific behavioral needs).
Safety is always a top priority. While your pet is in the salon:
You can rest assured—your pet is safe and secure while in my care.
Not quite yet! I do not apply semi-permanent or permanent color on first-time clients.
I require at least one regular grooming appointment first to assess your dog’s grooming behavior and comfort.
If your dog is calm and cooperative, I may offer a pop of temporary color at that first visit.
Depending on your dog’s coat type and temperament, I offer a variety of fun, non-toxic and dog-safe creative options:
Creative grooming is priced based on time, complexity, and coat type.
Yes. I do not offer color services for:
Even though I use safe, pet-specific products, the pre-color deep-cleansing shampoo required can be too harsh for sensitive skin.
At this time, I do not groom cats, rabbits, or other exotic animals.
However, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to refer you to a trusted groomer who specializes in those services!
Absolutely! I use non-toxic, high-quality, pet-safe shampoos, conditioners, and sprays to ensure your pet is pampered and protected.
I currently use trusted brands like:
I’m always continuing my education and staying up to date on the safest and most effective products in the grooming industry—your pet deserves the best!
Yes! I love when clients bring reference photos. I’ll do my best to match your vision, based on your dog’s coat type and condition.
Some styles (like teddy bear cuts or Asian fusion) need regular upkeep, so I’ll let you know what’s realistic and how to maintain it..
I take photos of all dogs and post regularly. By booking, you agree to photos of your dog being shared.
