- Cancellation Policy
- I request a 24-hour notice for cancellations.
- Same day cancellations will result in 50% service cost due that day.
Late Drop Off/ Pick Up Policy
- If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, $15.00 will be added to your service.
- After 20 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled with 50% of the groom charge being paid that day.
- At check-in, I will inform you of when your dog will be finished. I will also call or text 20 minutes before your dog will be finished. I ask that you arrive within 30 minutes of that time. If you arrive over 30 minutes past your pick-up time, $15.00 will be added to your service. Additionally, $15.00 will be added every 30 minutes over the pick-up time.
No-Show Policy
- A no call no show will result in 100% service cost due before or at your next grooming appointment.
- If you no call no show 3 times, pre-payment will be required before booking an appointment.
I understand that emergencies happen and will work with you whenever possible. Communicate with me.
Behavioral Issues Policy
- I always handle behavioral issues on a case-by-case basis. If a dog shows signs of extreme aggression, I will stop the groom and recommend further grooming appointments take place at your vet for safety.
Pet Health and Vaccine Policy
- I do not groom dogs that are sedated, pregnant, and/or female dogs with their cycle present.
- All clients must provide proof of updated rabies vaccine.
- If fleas, lice, and/or ticks are present on a dog, I will immediately halt the grooming process and require you to pick up immediately. In all cases, you will only be charged for the bath.
Matted Pet Policy
- Matted (tightly tangled &/or knotted) coats can cause a variety of skin & health problems. Due to matting, pets' hair may need to be shaved extremely short to the skin and may show signs of skin irritation and sores due to matting, wet undercoat, and dirty coat. Pets that have not been groomed often enough usually result in a long, stressful, or painful grooming session. It is my goal with Groomed By Kelly to make your pet's grooming experience as stress-free as possible. Therefore I refuse to de-mat coats that have become matted & tangled when doing so may cause stress, pain, injury &/or suffering. I will always act in the animal's best interest and remove matted & tangled coats in the most humane manner possible.
- All possible care will be taken in removing a matted coat, but the possibility of injury exists and by agreeing to these policies and leaving your pet for grooming you acknowledge that you are aware of the condition of your pet's coat, the possibility of pre-existing issues found under the coat, and the risk of causing the skin to be nicked and/or cut because of the tightness of the matting and the need to work closely to the skin to remove the coat and you give Groomed By Kelly permission to proceed with services. Groomed By Kelly is not responsible for injuries sustained due to the condition of your pet's coat. By booking your appointment and leaving your pet in my care, you agree to pay any, and all Veterinary fees for my above-mentioned pet's care. You release Groomed By Kelly from any responsibility of the above-mentioned process, and any medical problems that may be uncovered and or occur during the stripping process while working on your pet. At the time of drop-off, you will receive a pre-assessment estimate and agree that the estimate may increase depending on the coat condition and your pet's behavior at the time of the grooming appointment.
